About The Position

The Operations Manager oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the transportation and logistics department. The role works with internal departments and external partners to ensure efficient and effective transportation and logistics processes. It is a full-time position with DSV’s Solutions division in LaGrange, Georgia.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics management.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations and compliance.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English, orally and in writing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor’s degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Experience in the freight forwarding industry.
• Certification in transportation and logistics, such as Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP).
• Experience with transportation management software (TMS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the transportation and logistics department’s daily operations to ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently.
• Coordinate with internal departments, including sales and customer service, to meet customer needs.
• Develop and implement transportation and logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
• Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and other external partners to maintain strong relationships and reliable transportation services.
• Monitor transportation and logistics performance metrics and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure transportation and logistics processes comply with company policies and regulations.
• Provide management with timely and accurate reports on transportation and logistics activities.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations.
