About The Position

The Operations Manager is a member of the CVS/pharmacy Store Management team who helps people on their path to better health by driving store execution and performance and building consumer loyalty through excellent customer service. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, this role maintains an engaged and productive store team through leadership, initiative, and leading by example. The Operations Manager supports the Store Manager in the overall leadership and strategic operation of the store, including store management and policy implementation, sales and inventory management, employee staffing, training and development, financial management, and customer service leadership. This position is not part of the CVS/pharmacy Retail Management Development Program and is not eligible for direct promotion to Store Manager. The role leads and supports store crew activities, communicates with crew members and supervisors, and assists with operational and service improvement plans. It also provides customer assistance and promotes CVS’s customer service culture. Pharmacy-related work includes engaging customers about health, medications, and CVS services; following applicable laws, regulations, standards, and company policies; coordinating medication-order workflows across pharmacy workstations; maintaining accuracy and efficiency; resolving medication and insurance concerns with customers and care teams; developing clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge; and adapting to team and business needs. Registration must be maintained according to local and state pharmacy regulations. Depending on role and location, COVID-19 vaccination may be required where allowable by law, subject to reasonable accommodations. The position is full time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours. Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in the total leadership and strategic operation of the store.
Lead store crew members and effectively supervise, assign, and direct their activities.
Communicate information to store crew and supervisors openly and in a timely manner.
Support the Store Manager with action plans for operational and service improvement.
Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints, and promote CVS’s customer service culture by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
Engage customers about their health, medications, and relevant CVS services and products.
Follow applicable laws, regulations, professional standards, ethical principles, and CVS policies to protect patient safety and privacy.
Coordinate and process patient medication orders across pharmacy workstations, shifting responsibilities to support the team as needed.
Balance quality and efficiency, maintain accuracy, and meet workflow and inventory management goals.
Identify and resolve potential problems so customers can obtain medications when needed; collaborate with pharmacy teams, medical staff, insurance companies, and customers to resolve medication and insurance concerns.
Develop clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge using available tools and training resources.
Contribute to individual and team goals and adapt to changing work, schedule, and business needs.
Maintain pharmacy registration in accordance with local and state regulations.
Support sales and inventory management, employee staffing, training and development, and financial management.
