(USA) Operations Manager - Floor
About The Position
This role is responsible for driving and implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. The Operations Manager will forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands. They will prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify operational improvements. This position involves monitoring and ensuring compliance with logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures. The Operations Manager will resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns, and supervise and manage associates and leaders by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training and development needs. This role emphasizes building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating a culture of belonging, and empowering associates to thrive. It also involves working collaboratively, communicating with impact, attracting and retaining talent, and recognizing contributions. The role requires acting with integrity, maintaining high ethical standards, and fostering a culture of accountability and positive impact. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 1 year's experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas
- OR 1 year's experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates
- OR 3 years' experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.
- Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities
- Drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) and implement operational improvements.
- Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
- Prepare, review, and/or analyze business reports and use information to identify operational improvements (e.g., production, quality, safety).
- Monitor and ensure area of responsibility's compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives.
- Identify and ensure associate, customer, and supplier concerns are resolved.
- Supervise and manage associates and leaders in area of responsibility by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training and development needs, and providing opportunities for learning and growth.
- Teach, support, and model Logistics and company policies and procedures.
- Participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers.
- Build high-performing teams, embrace differences, create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected, and create opportunities for all associates to thrive.
