About The Position

This position is responsible for driving and implementing the business plan for their area of responsibility to achieve facility goals in production, quality, and safety. The role involves forecasting staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands. The Operations Manager will prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify operational improvements. They will monitor and ensure compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures. This role also involves identifying and resolving associate, customer, and supplier concerns, and supervising and managing associates and leaders by providing direction, monitoring performance, offering feedback, and identifying training and development needs. The position emphasizes building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating a culture of belonging, and empowering associates to thrive. It requires working collaboratively, communicating with impact, attracting and retaining talent, and recognizing contributions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management).
  • 1 year's experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.
  • OR 1 year's experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates.
  • OR 3 years' experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities
