About The Position

The Operations Management Trainee (OMT) program is designed to develop future leaders within Agtegra’s operations teams. This role provides hands-on experience across grain handling, agronomy operations, safety, logistics, and team leadership. Trainees will rotate through key operational areas and work closely with experienced managers to build the skills needed to lead high-performing locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong interest in agricultural operations and leadership development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Willingness to relocate and travel within Agtegra’s trade territory.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • English Proficiency.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured training across grain, agronomy, and operations functions.
  • Assist with daily operations including receiving, storage, handling, and shipping of grain.
  • Support safety programs and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Learn and assist with inventory management, quality control, and facility maintenance.
  • Observe and support team leadership, scheduling, and workforce coordination.
  • Collaborate with location managers to drive operational efficiency and customer service excellence.
  • Develop knowledge of Agtegra systems, procedures, and best practices.
  • Travel between locations as part of the training program.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program and DOT regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
