Operations Leader - Weekend Shift
About The Position
Perform daily plant operations, including Service Shops, to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. The role oversees and manages front-line manufacturing employees, typically hourly populations, and executes standard operational and technical tasks under established instructions and routines. The work affects the quality of the employee’s own work and that of others on the team. The employee may rearrange the sequence of tasks to respond to changing work situations. The role applies developing knowledge of its technical discipline to execute policy and strategy, understands key business drivers and how the team’s work integrates with other teams, and makes decisions within a defined framework. It resolves issues requiring sound technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures and consults more senior team members on matters outside those parameters. The role may lead a junior team, explain technical information to others, and, where customer-facing, develop customer relationships and serve as an interface between the customer and GE.
Requirements
- Ability to work the 4th shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, OR a high school diploma/GED plus at least 6 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or a similar environment and at least 6 years of supervisory experience.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good technical knowledge and judgment for resolving issues within established procedures.
