About The Position

The Operations Lead is a member of the store leadership team who drives and coaches profitability and efficiency. Working closely with Operations & Visual Managers, this role initiates and delegates work and provides feedback to help the team achieve strong results across store operations. The position requires constant movement throughout the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not assisting guests, the Operations Lead takes initiative to keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and efficient.

The Operations Lead leads inventory management and operational processes, supports visual standards and a safe, efficient stockroom, and partners with managers on reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendors, technology, and facilities. The role uses business metrics to support strategies, oversees Operations Associates, contributes to their recruitment and development, and collaborates with other leads and managers to deliver operational directives and business goals. The position also opens and closes the store according to back-of-house standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of prior work experience in a client-centric sales environment.
• Proven leadership capabilities and excellent decision-making.

• Self-motivated, with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

• Able to move constantly throughout all areas of the store.
• Able to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
• Able to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and/or twist, and safely climb up and down a ladder.
• Able to stand and move for an entire shift.
• Available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts; schedules may change.
• Available to work from the week of and including Black Friday through the end of the holiday season in the first week of January.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute inventory management processes, focusing on inventory accuracy and reducing shrink.
• Investigate the root causes of inventory accuracy issues and partner with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
• Manage shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intraday replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
• Champion strong visual standards on the sales floor.
• Maintain a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes.
• Partner with Operations & Visual Managers on reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
• Use business metrics to support strategies that drive business results.
• Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
• Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience.
• Directly oversee Operations Associates, including recruiting and developing talent.
• Use company performance tools to evaluate Operations Associates and provide ongoing feedback in partnership with the store leader.
• Collaborate with the Visual Lead on cross-functional training and with the Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed.
• Execute company-level operations directives, projects, and initiatives with the management team to achieve goals and KPIs.
• Open and close the store in accordance with back-of-house standards.
• Take initiative to keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and operating efficiently.
