Operations Finance Career Foundation Program Associate

Smithfield Foods•Sioux Falls, SD

About The Position

The Career Foundation Program (CFP) gives recent college graduates an opportunity to explore career options through function-specific rotations. The Operations Finance track includes rotations through Plant Finance and Accounting, and Corporate Finance and Accounting. Rotations across the program last 18 to 24 months, depending on the track. CFP Associates learn about the company’s business while seeking a position to launch their career at Smithfield. Senior leaders, an assigned manager, a mentor, and a program manager provide guidance, training, and partnership throughout the rotations. Associates are expected to contribute to the goals of each assigned department, help solve problems, take leadership roles on certain projects, support short- and long-term objectives, and deliver results that exceed expectations. After 12 months in the program, Associates may apply for open positions for which they are qualified and interested while continuing their rotations. Selection is merit-based, and securing a new position is not guaranteed. Mentors, managers, and Talent Acquisition Specialists provide career guidance and counseling. Proof of graduation is required before the actual start date. Other duties may be assigned.
