About The Position

The Operations Associate is a critical member of the store team, responsible for driving profitability and efficiency. Working closely with the Operations & Visual Management team, this role initiates and completes operational work and provides feedback to help achieve optimal results across total store operations. The role supports inventory accuracy, product flow, visual standards, stockroom processes, and a safe, efficient store environment, while responding to the needs of the business, team, and guests.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior work experience in a client-centric sales and operational environment.
• Ability to move constantly throughout all areas of the store.
• Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and/or twist, and safely climb up and down a ladder.
• Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
• Passion for customer service and delivering exceptional experiences.
• Self-motivated, with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as part of a team.
• Aligns with and embodies ALO’s Guiding Principles.
• Open availability seven days a week for 32–40 hours; able to work during the company blackout period from the week of American Thanksgiving through the first week of January, including Thanksgiving weekend.

Responsibilities

• Execute inventory management processes to maximize inventory accuracy and reduce shrink.
• Investigate root causes of inventory accuracy issues and partner with the General/Store Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
• Support shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales-floor recovery, intraday replenishment, floor-set updates, and supply management.
• Maintain and champion strong visual standards on the sales floor.
• Work with reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to ensure these areas are maintained and maximized.
• Support a safe work environment and efficient operations through strong stockroom standards and processes.
• Move dynamically around the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
• Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives in partnership with the Operations & Visual Management team.
• Assist with shipment processing and product flow, including visual merchandising placement and daily replenishment.
• Use metrics and business acumen to support strategies that drive business results.
• Resolve client needs quickly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify product concerns and communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
• Keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and operating efficiently by taking initiative on other tasks when not assisting guests.
