About The Position

Located in West Liberty, Iowa, Danner Family Grain is a 5th generation, family-owned farming operation specializing in growing specialty market seed and grain. We take pride in combining time-honored traditions with modern farming practices to produce high-quality crops while maintaining a strong, team-oriented culture. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Assistant to work closely with the Operations Manager/Owner and play a key, hands-on role in crop production and day-to-day farm operations. This position offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to grow your agricultural skill set in a collaborative and supportive environment. This is a full-time, year-round position.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of crop operations experience
Must maintain a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

Application/sprayer experience and certification preferred
Class A CDL preferred, or the ability to successfully obtain within a specified timeframe
Experience with farm equipment technology preferred; familiarity with John Deere monitors and precision agriculture technology is a plus

Responsibilities

Support daily farm and crop production operations
Assist with field activities including: Tillage, Grain cart operation, Spraying, Grain hauling
Operate and assist in maintaining farm equipment, including irrigation systems
Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep
Work as part of a close-knit, team-oriented operation where your contributions matter
Play a direct role in achieving overall farm productivity and operational goals
