About The Position

The Operational Excellence Co-Op introduces the applicant to multiple opportunities related to Crown’s Lean Management System. Work may be project-based or event- and experience-based, depending on the applicant’s background and current departmental priorities. The position supports operational excellence activities across multiple plants and departments, including value stream mapping, continuous improvement, 5S, process mapping, training development, and Lean resource management.

• Must have a reliable means of transportation and be willing to travel.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided. Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship now or in the future are not eligible for hire.

Nice To Haves

• Pursuing a degree in Operations Management or Engineering, such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support value stream mapping projects and events, using tools such as Video TimerPro, eVSM, and Visio.
• Support continuous improvement, 5S, and process mapping events across multiple plants and departments.
• Support the development of web-based and instructor-led Operational Excellence training modules, using tools such as PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Create pages for Lean resources on the Operational Excellence SharePoint site, including tracking systems, dashboards, and repositories, using tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, and Excel.
• Assist with conducting and/or tracking historical data for continuous improvement events or assessments.
