About The Position

The Operating Room Registered Nurse assesses patients before surgery, prepares the operating room, assists surgeons during procedures, monitors patients’ vital signs, and evaluates patients postoperatively. The role also includes reviewing charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols and adhering to relevant health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ condition before surgery.
• Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Keep the operating room sterilized.
• Pass medical instruments to surgeons during operations.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs.
• Evaluate postoperative patients.
• Review charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols before and after surgical procedures.
• Adhere to relevant health and safety standards.
