About The Position
The Department of Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham ( UAB ) is pleased to announce a new recruitment for additional academic surgical pathologists. We are inviting applications from qualified candidates at all ranks for a full-time, tenure earning/tenured position through the Department of Pathology, Heersink School of Medicine.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. or M.D. Ph.D.
- Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology
- eligible for a license to practice medicine in Alabama
- successful candidate beyond starting Assistant Professors should have a national reputation in academic pathology and a track record of a competitive basic, translational, and/or clinically focused research program
Nice To Haves
- Subspecialty expertise in bone, soft tissue, skin, and gastrointestinal (GI) pathology
