OPC Verification Engineer

Texas Instruments•Dallas, TX

About The Position

As a Resolution Enhancement Techniques (RET) OPC Verification Engineer, you will architect new products and help make customers’ visions a reality. You will define, design, model, implement, and document analog, digital, and RF integrated circuits (ICs). The role focuses on translating lithography requirements into OPC Verification (OPCV) recipe code, optimizing that code for hotspot prediction and reducing false errors, and reviewing RET output layouts for quality. You will work with designers, fab engineers, lithography teams, and yield enhancement teams.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in semiconductor photolithography or RET development.
  • Lithography and RET expertise for the 45 nm, 28 nm, 22 nm, and 20 nm technology nodes.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of advanced lithography processes, lithography simulation techniques, mask making, and RET techniques used in semiconductor manufacturing and process development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PLRC and ORC.
  • Familiarity with physical layouts (OASIS, GDSII), including viewing, measuring, and manipulating them.
  • Experience with code-version control, such as Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
  • Strong time-management skills that enable on-time project delivery.
  • Ability to build strong, influential relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Work with designers and fab engineers to understand lithography requirements for RET.
  • Translate lithography requirements into an implementation plan for OPC Verification recipe code.
  • Write OPCV recipe code.
  • Optimize OPCV recipe parameters for hotspot prediction and minimizing false errors.
  • Create test cases for OPCV recipe code.
  • Review large RET-output layouts for quality.
  • Interface with lithography and yield enhancement teams.
