The OnSite Specialist provides clinical and technical support before, during, and after surgical procedures. The role manages Stryker and related equipment, anticipates equipment needs, troubleshoots issues, and works with surgeons, operating room personnel, central processing, biomedical staff, and other relevant personnel. It also involves maintaining product knowledge through Stryker training, sharing product information with physicians and OR personnel, recording procedure and job-related data, maintaining account information and vendor credentials, and following Stryker, medical-facility, and patient-confidentiality policies. For OR support, the specialist sets up and checks Stryker towers, booms, lights, and integrated suite systems; adjusts equipment during procedures; troubleshoots endoscopy and integration systems; and handles equipment breakdown, cleaning, restocking, and basic maintenance afterward. The role may also support video conferencing, DICOM transfers, and EMR connectivity where applicable, and educate OR and SPD staff on product use and troubleshooting. The position also supports case cart and inventory readiness by staging carts according to surgeon preference cards, documenting missing instruments, coordinating replenishment, managing postoperative put-backs and restocking, tracking inventory, and communicating rapid-turnover and trauma-case needs. It may include support for da Vinci or other specialized inventory processes. The specialist may need to cover different shifts and accounts, including on-call, overnight, and weekend coverage, and may travel overnight to other accounts. Assigned shifts may change without notice, including rotating shifts. Travel is listed as 10%.
