About The Position

Kodland is a digital platform connecting tutors and children aged 5 to 17, teaching game development (Unity/Roblox), programming (Scratch/Python), web development (Javascript, HTML, CSS), digital design (Blender/Photoshop), and Minecraft. Kodland's goal is to prepare children for the future. We help them acquire skills that set them up to succeed in their careers and develop their interests. Kodland operates in 40 countries and educates over 30,000 students.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic 3D principles (polygon modelling, topology, perspective, rendering, materials, collections)
• Ability to work in software used for creating and editing three-dimensional graphics (Blender, 3Ds MAX, Autodesk Maya, etc.). The course is taught using Blender.
• Willingness to communicate and have fun during lessons with children aged 11+
• Able to work independently
• Have no criminal record and are not subject to a prohibition on working with children
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Patient, good-natured, reliable, approachable, and polite
• Punctual and good at time management
• Enjoy interacting with children and team members
• Following set goals and guidelines
• Willingness to help children eagerly
• Desire to improve your pedagogical skills based on feedback
• Clear pronunciation and articulation when speaking, easy for children to understand and follow
• Own laptop with a camera and microphone
• Stable internet connection
• Quiet place to work

Nice To Haves

• A background in design for creating harmonious, meaningful, and expressive object-spatial environments
• No teaching experience is required, but to be invited for an interview you must complete a digital skills test (which will be sent to you after submitting your application). You will need to demonstrate an understanding of digital design such as animation, illustration, 3D objects, working in Blender and Figma, etc.
• Candidates have the opportunity to learn Scratch and Roblox with us.

Responsibilities

• Delivering fun and engaging lessons based on the provided scripts and materials
• Improving their teaching skills with the help of experienced Kodland mentors
• Communicating any feedback regarding lessons and class content to the office team
• Providing regular and detailed reports on student progress, and tracking and improving class engagement and the learning experience
• Being a positive, influential, and open ambassador for Kodland
• Implementing creative ideas to stimulate and support our students
