Florida Atlantic University (FAU) is seeking a full-time, non-tenure-track Instructor for its Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Master of Social Work (MSW), and Doctor of Social Work (DSW) programs. This 12-month appointment is designed for an educator dedicated to teaching excellence, student engagement, and professional service. The role primarily supports the online MSW program, focusing on fully online and live synchronous Zoom courses. The instructor will deliver high-quality, engaging instruction across diverse learning modalities and student populations, contributing to student learning and professional development. While the main focus is the online MSW program, the candidate may also teach in face-to-face or hybrid formats and may be assigned to any FAU campus, including Boca Raton and Davie, based on program needs. Responsibilities include curriculum delivery, student mentoring, participation in School and University service activities, and collaboration to support program growth and student success. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to high-quality instruction and contribute to the School's mission and strategic priorities within a collaborative, student-centered academic community that values innovation, interdisciplinary engagement, and community partnerships. The Sandler School of Social Work, part of FAU's College of Social Work and Criminal Justice, serves a growing student population and offers a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) program, the first of its kind in Florida. The School actively engages in teaching, scholarship, workforce development, and community-based initiatives addressing complex social challenges. It houses several centers and institutes that support research, training, and collaboration, including the Child Welfare Institute, Healthy Aging Academy, Robin Rubin Center for Happiness and Life Enhancement, and Center for Integrated Recovery and Wellness Studies. The School is committed to fostering an engaging academic environment that supports innovation, experiential learning, student mentorship, and community impact, offering faculty opportunities to contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking community.
