About The Position

Intermediate District 287 is seeking part-time French Online Teachers for its Northern Star Online (NSO) program. NSO is a collaborative of 15 independent school districts and four educational service agencies that provides secondary students with high-quality online courses and learning experiences to support lifelong learning and personalized, accelerated, or renewed learning.

Teachers provide instruction to children, adolescents, and adults; develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans; use technology to engage students and meet their needs; respond to a diverse student population with varying learning styles; and build connections with students and families online. Hours are flexible. Salary is based on student enrollment and completed semester credits, as described in Section 4.5.4 of the Local 2209 contract. This part-time position is not eligible for benefits.

Requirements

• Hold a current Minnesota teaching license in French issued by PELSB, or be licensed in another subject area and willing and eligible to obtain an Out of Field Permission in Minnesota.
• Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

• Experience with digital curriculum and online teaching is preferred.
