About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic Online Teacher Aide to join a virtual school community. The role works alongside online classroom teachers and learning leaders to provide targeted support in an inclusive digital environment. This includes facilitating small-group breakout sessions, delivering live one-to-one assistance, and supporting students with high learning and/or health needs.

Requirements

• An empathetic, compassionate approach tailored to remote learners.
• Patience in supporting students with diverse learning paces.
• Comfort navigating learning management systems and online tools, and adapting to technology changes during live sessions.
• Clear, warm written and verbal communication to collaborate with teachers and engage students remotely.
• Relational warmth, proactive problem-solving, and respect for student privacy and confidentiality online.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-group activities and provide tailored live one-to-one support to help students access the curriculum.
• Assist remote students with elevated learning or health needs while maintaining consistent engagement and routines.
• Partner with online teachers during live sessions to manage digital resources and encourage student participation.
• Use educational applications and assistive technologies to guide students through online learning platforms.
