Teacher Aide
About The Position
Challenger School is hiring enthusiastic, energetic Teacher's Aides at its California campuses. The role involves running a combination of before- and after-school programs and lunch periods. Depending on the shifts worked, duties may include supervising students on the playground, helping with homework, leading arts and crafts, and assisting with arrival and departure. Specialized after-school positions, such as chess or foreign language instructors, may occasionally be available. This is a full-time, in-person position at one of the listed Bay Area locations. Applicants must pass a background check and complete pre-employment assessments. The assessment must be completed within 72 hours of the application submission for the application to be considered complete.
Requirements
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Completion of pre-employment assessments within 72 hours of application submission.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and productive school environment.
- Prepare art, crafts, and outside activities.
- Assist students with homework.
- Work patiently with students, parents, and coworkers.
- Depending on shifts worked, supervise students on the playground and assist with student arrival and departure.
- Run before- and after-school programs and lunch periods.
