The University of Alberta Faculty of Law is seeking a legally qualified individual to lead the content development for an asynchronous online criminal law course. This course is an important part of a new undergraduate certificate program in Law, targeting non-JD undergraduate students at the University of Alberta and those in the certificate program. The course will be a polished, for-credit, optional online course designed for completion with minimal assistance. The content should remain relevant for three to five years. The course developer, with TA assistance, will compile and create all substantive content, including micro-lecture videos, readings, assignments, and quizzes. Graphic and web design experience is not required, as content will be handed off to a design team. This part-time position can be held alongside other professional work. The start and end dates, and weekly hours, are negotiable, with the goal of having the course drafted by the end of June 2027.
