About The Position
The One-on-One Assistant is assigned to provide support for a child who requires assistance throughout the day. The One-on-One assistant is a non-certificated staff member who assists students under the direction of the classroom teachers and/or certified staff to promote the student’s academic achievement, behavioral growth, socio-emotional relationships, and personal development. The One-on-One Assistant must adapt to the particular educational/therapeutic needs of the student(s).
Requirements
- Non-certificated staff member
- Must be NJ resident within one year from date of hire
- Required criminal history background check
- Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status
Responsibilities
- Provide support for a child who requires assistance throughout the day.
- Assist students under the direction of the classroom teachers and/or certified staff.
- Promote the student’s academic achievement, behavioral growth, socio-emotional relationships, and personal development.
- Adapt to the particular educational/therapeutic needs of the student(s).
