We are seeking a locum tenens provider for full-time coverage through the end of 2027, with the potential for an extension beyond this period. This Hematology/Oncology locum position is characterized by a unique need for continuity of care. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to a full-time schedule of four weeks per month and participate in a shared call rotation. Maintaining a single primary oncologist is essential for ensuring continuity of care, enhancing treatment coordination, and fostering a stronger doctor-patient relationship—all of which contribute to improved outcomes and a higher quality of life for patients undergoing cancer treatment. Therefore, splitting the assignment between multiple providers is not permissible. The clinic operates on a 4-day work week from 8 AM to 5 PM, with one hour allocated for an unpaid lunch. The locum provider will have Mondays off. Weekend on-call duties are scheduled from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 7 AM, with a rotation system in place among providers and backup coverage by Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The clinic sees an average of 18-20 patients per day, with a case mix of approximately 35% Hematology and 65% Oncology. The Reid Team Structure includes 2 Oncologists and 4 APPs. The APPs primarily manage the Hematology patient load, while the oncologists focus on Cancer patients. Each oncologist currently handles 18-20 patients per day, and the APPs see between 14-18 patients daily.
