About The Position

We are seeking a Cardiologist to provide coverage for both inpatient and outpatient care. The role involves a 24-hour call schedule from Sunday to Saturday, with an expectation of fulfilling 8 hours of gratis hours during weekdays. The inpatient cardiology team includes three Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who work collaboratively with the physician for comprehensive patient management. The facility uses the Cerner EHR system.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Cardiology
• Active Michigan medical license
• Must be a resident of Michigan or within driving distance (no air travel)
• Clean background for expedited credentialing
• Availability to be provided based on stipulated dates
• DEA Verification (verbal confirmation required upon name clearance)
• Self-Query from the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) to be conducted within the month prior to presentation

Nice To Haves

• Proficient in Echocardiography
• Skilled in conducting Treadmill and Chemical Stress Tests
• Competence in interpreting diagnostic studies such as Echocardiography and Stress Tests

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour inpatient call coverage from 6 AM to 6 AM.
• Fulfill 8 hours of allotted "gratis" hours during the weekdays.
• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) for comprehensive patient management.
• Utilize the Cerner EHR system for patient documentation.
