About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for an experienced Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiology. The role is 100% inpatient, requiring the NP to function independently alongside an Interventional Cardiologist. Responsibilities include managing new admissions, conducting follow-ups, patient rounding, documentation, discharge planning, and care coordination for adult and geriatric patients. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical setting and is not open to new graduates. The NP will be responsible for call coverage, including weeknights and weekends.
Requirements
- Board Certified
- Advanced Practice NP specialty certification
- Active Virginia License
- Current Certification in ACLS, BLS, and DEA
- Minimum of 2 years in a relevant clinical setting
- Clean background with no history of malpractice or license-related issues
- EPIC EMR/Documentation System experience
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient cardiology care as an Advanced Practice Clinician (APC), functioning independently alongside an Interventional Cardiologist.
