About The Position

The facility is seeking a full-time locum provider to cover 4 weeks per month while participating in the call rotation. The schedule consists of 4 working days per week, with Mondays reserved as a non-clinical/admin day. The locum provider will be required to provide full-time coverage for the remainder of 2027, with the potential for an extension into 2028. The locum position is crucial to maintaining continuity of care, enhancing treatment coordination, and fostering strong doctor-patient relationships. The facility intends to avoid splitting this assignment among multiple candidates to ensure consistent patient care.

Requirements

• Active Indiana State License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Board certification required in both Hematology and Oncology.
• Influenza vaccination is mandatory unless a medical or religious exemption is presented.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association is required for all specialties.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time coverage for the remainder of 2027, with the potential for an extension into 2028.
• Participate in the call rotation.
• Provide coverage on Wednesdays in Winchester.
• Provide coverage bi-monthly on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays in Hagerstown.
• Be available for consultation via telephone during on-call hours.
• Serve as a backup for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) during on-call hours.
• Maintain continuity of care.
• Enhance treatment coordination.
• Foster strong doctor-patient relationships.
