About The Position

This is a locum physician position for Vascular Surgery at the Midland Clinic. The role involves providing clinical services, including inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic activities, and performing procedures in various settings such as catheterization labs, interventional radiology, hybrid operating rooms, and vascular labs. The physician will also be responsible for week and weekend on-call coverage, holiday call, and vascular testing interpretation. The clinic is projected to have a volume of 5,995 patient visits in 2025, managed by three surgeons, with support from four Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Proficiency in EPIC and Dragon for EMR and dictation is required. Orientation and training will include one day of orientation and two days of proctoring.

Requirements

• Board Certified (or Board Eligible)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Provide evidence of performing a minimum of 50 major vascular surgical procedures within the last 12 months, including at least 7 open aortic cases
• Proficient in English (native or bilingual)
• Will consider candidates with an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) agreement or those awaiting licensure in Michigan
• Demonstrated fulfillment of job requirements
• Verification of board certification or legitimate board eligibility
• Clean results from internet and OIG background checks
• Must possess an active Michigan license or IMLC certification

• Supervision of APPs is not required
