About The Position

The Onboarding Project Manager is part of the U.S. Public Equity Solutions group within Morgan Stanley at Work. The group manages engagement, onboarding, and day-to-day service for corporate clients and their equity administration plans. This role leads the end-to-end onboarding of corporate clients onto Morgan Stanley at Work equity administration platforms, including Stock Plan Administration and Employee Broker Services. The Project Manager manages several concurrent projects, the client relationship, project timelines and responsibilities, client satisfaction, and project risks. The position involves frequent collaboration with internal teams, clients, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels, in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in stock plan benefits and/or financial services.
• Strong client engagement skills, including experience working with Fortune 500 companies.
• Ability to lead projects with minimal supervision or follow-up.
• Strong organizational skills and project management discipline, including knowledge of scope definition, scheduling, resource planning, quality control, team development, communications, and risk management.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to research inquiries through interaction with multiple departments.
• Good decision-making skills grounded in analysis, experience, and judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with external clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to build productive client relationships, meet customer needs promptly, and take responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight timeframes, maintain composure in stressful situations, and ease tension.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, including Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a similar field (preferred).
• PMP certification or actively working toward completion.
• Certified Equity Professional designation (strongly preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of the equity compensation brokerage industry.
• Knowledge of Shareworks, Equity Edge Online, or related administrative software.
• Knowledge of Salesforce and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of client onboarding projects.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned corporate clients throughout onboarding, maintaining a client-focused and appropriately firm approach.
• Use established tools and processes to connect new clients with internal stakeholders and establish project requirements and timelines.
• Lead scoping and requirements gathering, and relay customer requirements to onboarding technical specialists and software development teams where appropriate.
• Establish and meet goals, assign and direct work, and manage multiple requests with minimal direction.
• Enforce project schedules, deadlines, and standards.
• Lead project reviews to assess schedules, processes, and risks, and facilitate communication and negotiation.
• Provide regular reporting to applicable managers, executives, and clients.
• Audit, monitor, and lead corrections to ensure project and resource data is maintained consistently in accordance with standards and methodologies.
• Participate in resolving issues and conflicts with internal teams, clients, and vendors, escalating matters appropriately, promptly, and tactfully.
