About The Position
The On-Site Specialist I provides non-hazardous services at a client facility to meet environmental needs and comply with state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. The role may be performed under supervision or independently and involves safely completing scheduled customer projects. Duties may include packing, labeling, manifesting, and shipping waste according to contract parameters.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of forklift experience.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in project and time management.
- Knowledge of continuous process operations, chemical processing, and waste disposal.
- Computer proficiency with Google Office.
Nice To Haves
- 2–4 years of industry-related work and customer service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional image with clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and potential problems.
- Manage the onsite customer’s non-hazardous waste needs in accordance with the contract.
- Comply with and enforce environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure required US DOT/EPA paperwork is complete and accurate to expedite waste disposal.
- Operate and maintain equipment safely and effectively to complete assigned projects on time.
- Understand contract terms and follow through on assignments.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
