About The Position
The On-Site Specialist I provides hazardous and non-hazardous services at client facilities to meet environmental needs in accordance with state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. The position works under supervision and/or independently to complete scheduled customer projects safely and successfully. Duties may include packing, labeling, manifesting, and shipping waste in accordance with contract parameters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related science discipline.
- OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper Certification.
- Commercial Driver’s License, Class A or B.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in project and time management.
- Knowledge of continuous process operations, chemical processing, and waste disposal.
- Computer proficiency with Google Office.
Nice To Haves
- 2–4 years of industry-related work and customer service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional image with clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and potential problems.
- Manage onsite customers’ hazardous and non-hazardous waste needs according to the contract.
- Comply with and enforce environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Complete accurate US DOT/EPA paperwork as required to expedite hazardous-waste disposal.
- Operate and maintain equipment safely to support efficient, effective, and timely project completion.
- Understand contract terms and follow through on assignments.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
