On-Call RN
About The Position
Auburn Crest Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dependable On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to serve Bonner's Ferry. The role provides after-hours telephone triage from 5:00 PM to 8:30 AM, with in-home patient visits as needed. The nurse documents care, communicates patient updates to case managers, and supports patients and families during critical moments of care. The role requires independent clinical work and close collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to provide hospice care. The on-call schedule is Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 8:30 AM. Compensation includes $300 per week for on-call service, plus an hourly rate starting at $40 per hour and mileage reimbursement for patient visits. Requirements
- Current Idaho Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
- Schedule flexibility, including weekday evening/night, weekend, and holiday availability.
- Travel is required.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance.

- Hospice experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Respond to after-hours patient and family needs through telephone triage.
- Complete nursing visits as needed during evening and overnight hours.
- Accurately document care and communicate updates to the clinical team.
- Support admissions and urgent patient needs when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
