On call caregiver
About The Position
Home Matters is seeking compassionate and dedicated on-call in-home caregivers to support seniors in their homes. The role focuses on enhancing clients’ quality of life while ensuring their safety and comfort. Caregivers must be able to report to a client’s location within one hour when called. The position is in person in the East Valley area of Arizona. Applicants should have a flexible schedule and be available for an on-call assignment either Monday through Thursday or Friday through Sunday. If called to cover a shift, the caregiver receives their hourly rate plus a $50 daily bonus. The posting lists pay of $18–$20 per hour and expected hours of 10–40 per week.
Requirements
- High school education.
- At least one year of caregiving experience is preferred.
- Ability to report to a client’s location within one hour when called.
- Flexible availability for an on-call schedule, either Monday through Thursday or Friday through Sunday.
- Compassionate demeanor and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to provide in-home care in person in the East Valley area of Arizona.
Nice To Haves
- Previous home health care or caregiving experience.
- Experience cooking and preparing meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal care tasks.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in activities that promote mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, including light housekeeping.
- Support clients with mobility needs.
- Report to a client’s location within one hour when called to cover a shift.
Benefits
- $50 per day bonus when called to cover a shift, in addition to the hourly rate.
