About The Position
This summer internship at Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa provides hands-on training for hospitality students to learn different aspects of the hotel business. The intern serves as a utility player, rotating through food and beverage departments and entry-level positions based on business needs. Rotations may include food and beverage outlets and banquets, with additional departments or roles added as needed. Interns receive mentorship and attend Omni Care training and enrichment seminars, with opportunities for future growth at the company, including consideration for its Leader in Development program.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on different projects.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, squat, and lean for extended periods during daily business.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a customer service position.
Responsibilities
- Work flexibly in various entry-level service positions throughout the property.
- Rotate between food and beverage outlets and banquets; additional departments or roles may be assigned based on business needs.
- Attend to and anticipate guests’ needs.
- Adapt to changing schedules and demonstrate flexibility.
- Demonstrate excellent teamwork.
- Attend Omni Care Internship training and enrichment seminars during the summer season.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Leader.
