About The Position
Wild Rock Golf Club is seeking a motivated and energetic intern to join its Agronomy Team. The intern will support daily maintenance operations and gain hands-on experience in golf course management, working alongside experienced maintenance staff. The internship covers maintenance of USGA Bent/Poa greens, chemical and fertilizer applications, irrigation repair and troubleshooting, daily irrigation setup, water management, basic equipment repair, daily course setup, and other agronomic practices used at top-tier facilities. It is designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed for further professional development in golf course management. Wild Rock Golf Club opened in 2008 and is part of the Wilderness Territory. The club has an 18-hole championship course and a nine-hole short course called The Woods Course.
Requirements
- Motivation and energy to contribute to the Agronomy Team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain USGA Bent/Poa greens.
- Assist with chemical and fertilizer applications.
- Repair and troubleshoot irrigation systems and perform daily irrigation setup.
- Support water management strategies.
- Perform basic equipment repair.
- Complete daily course setup.
- Participate in a range of golf course agronomic practices.
