About The Position

The Oil Delivery Driver delivers home heating oil to residential customers using tank trucks and/or tractor trailers. The driver represents the company professionally and cost-effectively, aiming to support profitability and customer satisfaction through prompt, timely, and safe deliveries. The role requires following company policies, procedures, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards. Possible night and weekend work and potential overtime are noted, particularly during the busy winter season.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class A or B driver’s license with Tank and HazMat endorsements.
• Ability to meet the company’s motor vehicle policy.
• Ability to meet all DOT requirements, including a road test and drug screen.
• Reliability, diligence, and dependability.
• Ability to use maps effectively and locate addresses.
• Detail-oriented, focused, flexible, and adaptable.

Nice To Haves

• TWIC card.
• Oil delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Make routine home heating oil deliveries to customers’ homes safely and on time.
• Follow assigned routes and time schedules.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle.
• Complete logs and reports.
• Follow company policies and procedures, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
