The Office Manager role involves providing exceptional customer service and accurately performing a wide range of cash handling activities. These include managing accounts receivable and payable, processing daily bank deposits, handling ATM functions, reporting soda machine money, conducting Western Union transactions, selling money orders and lottery items, counting cashier tills, performing safe audits, balancing cash drawers, processing coupons, managing return check processes, posting charge accounts, and accepting gas and utility payments. The position also requires answering and transferring telephone calls, emailing deposit information to the corporate office, and preparing various office reports. The individual must be proficient in operating office machines such as computers, FAX machines, calculators, time clocks, VCRs, and cash registers. Depending on the location, secondary functions may include stocking, ordering, and selling cigarette and tobacco products, providing direction to cashiers, ordering store supplies, training other office employees, and working with payroll reports and time cards. The role may involve supervising and directing other office employees when instructed by store management. Physical demands include the ability to lift and move items, stand for extended periods, and possess full range of motion.
