About The Position

IDOC is looking to hire an Office Associate to perform a variety of functions in the processing of writs, bonds and furloughs. In addition, this position will prepare and maintain records and reports, compose and keyboard a variety of correspondence, receive, track and file individual in custody disciplinary reports, and utilize Offender 360 (O360) to input individual in custody history. Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
  • Requires the ability to keyboard 45 words per minute.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
  • Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
  • Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of related functions in the processing of writs, bonds, furloughs.
  • Prepares and maintains complex, highly specialized records and reports.
  • Composes and keyboards correspondence and responses to inquiries including legal terminology applying understanding of terms to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Receives, tracks, and files Individual in Custody Disciplinary Reports.
  • Utilizes Offender 360 (O360) to input individual in custody history.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
