About The Position
The Department of Biology at Baylor University is seeking an undergraduate office assistant with design experience to assist with its website, social media platforms, and other administrative tasks. This role is for the Fall 2026-Spring 2027 academic year and offers flexible working hours.
Requirements
- Undergraduate student
- Design experience
- Working knowledge of and experience with Canva
- Working knowledge of and experience with PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of and experience with various social media platforms
- Independent self-starter
Responsibilities
- Greeting faculty, staff, students, and guests
- Stocking office supplies
- Answering the telephone
- Collecting and distributing mail
- Updating inventory spreadsheets and Box folders
- Designing original content or updating existing materials, including slides, posters, or signs
- Assisting with daily office tasks as required
- Assisting with various projects, activities, or tasks related to marketing and communications
- Providing website and social media support
- Exhibiting a willingness to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively
- Complying with University policies
- Maintaining regular and punctual attendance
