About The Position

The OFR Track Operations & Equipment Technician is a hands-on, equipment-forward role responsible for keeping the Vegas Off-Road Experience track in top condition for every customer session. The position centers on operating tractors, water trucks, and related facility equipment to groom and water the off-road track between sessions, ensuring guest safety and a consistent, high-quality experience. This role also supports general facility upkeep and provides occasional support to the customer experience team during peak demand. Mechanical aptitude is a strong plus — the right person will be expected to perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on our equipment fleet to minimize downtime.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Operate tractors and grooming equipment to prepare the off-road track to spec before opening and between session blocks
  • Operate the water truck to water the track between customer sessions for dust control, traction, and surface integrity
  • Inspect track surface and infrastructure (berms, jumps, transitions, signage, barriers, run-off areas) and address issues before they affect operations or safety
  • Coordinate the timing of grooming and watering with operations and instructor teams so customer flow is uninterrupted
  • Maintain a daily track condition and activity log
  • Perform daily pre- and post-use checks on tractors, water truck, baja trucks, ATVs/UTVs, and other facility equipment
  • Carry out routine maintenance: fluids, filters, tires, greasing, belts, hoses, and basic electrical work
  • Diagnose and repair common mechanical issues on diesel and gas equipment; coordinate larger repairs with outside vendors
  • Maintain service logs, track service intervals, and keep basic parts and supplies inventory current
  • Recommend equipment upgrades or process improvements that reduce downtime and improve reliability
  • Assist with general facility upkeep — grounds, fence lines, debris clearing, and minor repairs across the property
  • Support setup and breakdown for events, group bookings, and special activations
  • Keep the equipment yard, shop, and storage areas clean, safe, and organized
  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner whenever in customer-facing areas
  • Ensure the off-road classroom is clean and audio/video equipment is functioning for briefings
  • Ensure helmets and harnesses are clean and show no signs of damage
  • Assist in gearing up customers and strapping them into the baja trucks
  • Step in to support the customer experience team during peak demand or short-staffed shifts
