About The Position

Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. This is a full-time, permanent position with a schedule of 10+ hours per day (day shift), working a 5 and 2 rotation, with overtime after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week. The role is based out of our shop located at 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB. Sureway is a Repair Facility, not a component exchange shop, providing our technicians with a sense of ownership.

Requirements

Full Complement of Hand Tools
Personal Reliable Vehicle
CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with Red Seal – Off Road or equivalent
Must have between (5) and (10) years' Journeyperson experience
3rd Year Apprentices will be considered for this position
Apprentices must be in good standing with AIT
Off Road experience is REQUIRED
Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu is REQUIRED
Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

Experience with CAT Scrapers is Beneficial
