About The Position

This position is responsible for a variety of equipment repair functions in a service-oriented environment. The schedule is Monday to Friday, and the position is permanent full-time. The role involves repairing machines and performing a variety of service-oriented functions. The schedule is 5x2, with potential to shift to a 7x7 continuous shift. This is a unionized position, and union dues will be deducted from your pay upon hire. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.

Requirements

  • Completion of grade 12 (not including a general equivalent diploma)
  • Highly motivated and mechanically inclined

Nice To Haves

  • Willing to work towards Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
  • Successfully meet Finning’s educational and testing prerequisites
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Previous Caterpillar experience
  • Basic computer skills
