Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
About The Position
Powerback is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services in an in-facility setting. The role implements occupational therapy programs and activities, follows established recovery plans, and delivers therapy treatments to help patients restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence. The assistant works compassionately with patients and their families, collaborates with peers, and makes referrals when needed to support patients’ care. The position reports to the Director of Rehab. Powerback provides rehabilitation, respiratory, and wellness services across the nation, with an individualized approach focused on helping patients recover and thrive.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA and ACOTE standards.
- Obtain initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Be licensed or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy programs and activities.
- Follow developed patient recovery plans.
- Deliver therapy treatments to support patients’ recovery and independence.
- Provide patient-centered, compassionate service to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive needed care.
