About The Position
PAM Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to join its new rehabilitation hospital in Dallas. The hospital is described as opening in winter. The role provides care to a diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. Prior inpatient hospital experience is preferred, though a commitment and desire to learn are also welcomed. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care and plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with occupational therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health system. The role requires flexibility to meet the system’s needs across different facilities, and includes other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific occupational therapy treatment programs for individual patients.
- Adapt to the needs of the system across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
