Requirements

Current NV Occupational Therapy Assistant license required
Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current CPR certification

Nice To Haves

At least one year of pediatric experience is preferred but not required
Willingness to participate in continued education courses

Responsibilities

Treat pediatric patients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist (OTR)
Monitor a pediatric patient's activities to make sure they are performing them correctly and to offer encouragement and instruction
Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for patients
Verifies client information by interviewing client, reviewing, and recording medical history, confirming purpose of treatment
Maintains pediatric patient's occupational therapy records by recording client’s progress for use by the occupational therapist
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Serves and protects the occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements
