About The Position

Powerback is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services in a facility setting. The role implements occupational therapy programs and activities, follows established recovery plans, and delivers therapy treatments to help patients restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence. The assistant adapts to individual patient needs, collaborates with peers, and makes referrals when appropriate to support patients’ care. The role also helps ensure patients and families receive high-quality service in a caring and compassionate environment. The position reports to the Director of Rehab.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA and ACOTE standards.
• Obtain initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy programs and activities.
• Follow developed patient recovery plans.
• Deliver therapy treatments.
• Help restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence.
• Adapt care to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with peers and make referrals to support patients’ care.
• Help ensure patients and their families receive high-quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
