About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) for weekend work at Covington Rehab. The role provides direct patient care and plans and implements individual treatment programs according to occupational therapy principles and practices, under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. The assistant must be flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities. The ideal candidate has prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. PAM Health cares for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care.
Requirements
- Hold an Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Have current BLS certification.
- Be flexible to meet system needs across different facilities.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Remain flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
