PRN Occupational Therapist - Acute Care
About The Position
PT Solutions is hiring Occupational Therapists for an acute care setting in partnership with AdventHealth Gordon. This role involves providing evidence-based, quality care to patients, establishing treatment plans, and collaborating with patients, families, clinicians, and hospital staff. The position is PRN, requiring a commitment of 2 weekend day shifts per month, 1 major holiday, and 1 minor holiday. AdventHealth Gordon is a 69-bed community hospital recognized as a Joint Commission Center of Excellence for total hip and knee replacements. Clinicians will evaluate and treat patients across various hospital units, including medical-surgical, progressive care unit, and intensive care unit, managing a diverse patient population with conditions ranging from orthopedic and neurological to respiratory, GI, and cardiovascular diagnoses.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ACOTE approved occupational therapy program
- Registered with NBCOT
- Current or pending state licensure
- Basic Life Support certification
Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based, quality care to each patient empowering them to previous level of functioning or proceed to next level of care
- Establish timely treatment plans for each patient’s specific needs
- Demonstrate a positive connection with patients, patient families, fellow clinicians, and other hospital team members
- Build and maintain relationships throughout the hospital (I.e. physicians, case management, nurses, etc)
