About The Position

Human Touch Home Health is seeking compassionate Occupational Therapists (OTs) for PRN home health opportunities throughout Washington, DC. This role offers the flexibility to provide meaningful one-on-one therapy while maintaining control of your schedule. You can choose the specific areas within Washington, DC, that you prefer to cover and build your caseload around your availability. The position focuses on helping patients regain independence in their homes by addressing activities of daily living, assessing home safety, and providing therapeutic interventions.

Requirements

Active Washington, DC Occupational Therapist License Required
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Reliable transportation and ability to travel between patient homes
Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in patients' homes

Home Health Experience Preferred, but Not Required
WellSky Experience is a Plus

Responsibilities

Complete occupational therapy evaluations in patients' homes
Develop individualized plans of care
Help patients regain independence with activities of daily living
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and functional ability
Address dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and other everyday activities
Assess home safety and recommend adaptive equipment or modifications
Educate patients, families, and caregivers
Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Complete reassessments and discharge planning
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
Complete accurate and timely documentation using WellSky
