About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist at White Oak Manor, a skilled nursing facility in Tryon, North Carolina. This is a true PRN role with flexible scheduling based on facility needs and the therapist’s availability. Starting pay is $56 per hour, with rates negotiable based on experience and availability. The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, develops individualized treatment plans, supports patients in improving functional abilities, and educates patients and families about daily activities, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications. The role also includes maintaining compliant documentation and advocating for patients’ needs. Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility to obtain a license.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
- Create personalized treatment plans that address clients’ goals and enhance functional abilities.
- Educate clients and families about improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients’ needs and support access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
