About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital - Akron is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Occupational Therapist provides compassionate treatment to patients during recovery. This is a PRN/per diem, as-needed position in Akron, Ohio, paying $52.00 per hour. Requirements
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Certified BLS or completion of BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment.
- Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs) and OT and COTA students.
- Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
- Monitor patients’ responses to treatment.
- Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
